ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Better recycling through higher standards is our commitment at Elite Energy Distribution.  This begins with the innate responsibility of all employees, including management, to a high level of occupational, environmental, health and safety commitment. At Elite Energy we guarantee to continually strive for a better and safer environment for all employees, to reduce health concerns, to reduce workers compensation and medical treatment costs by sickness prevention and to eliminate workplace injuries by continued awareness and communication. By doing this, Elite Energy improves on organic energies and conserves our earth’s valuable resources and our employee’s longevity. From large scale initiatives like re-use of batteries that are disposed of prematurely, a process which undergoes rigorous testing, to everyday practices like re-using cardboard as packing material for outgoing products rather than sending it to landfill. To the employee we pledge our commitment and prevention of ill health through effective controls of hazardous substances and the awareness of workplace hazards and proper training. As we continue to improve our process through recovery, re-use, recycling and disposal programs we strive to minimize adverse impact on the environment and on the staff. We commit to the following standards:

  1. Meeting all our objectives through our recycling effort and higher quality product output with emphasis on staying healthy and accident free in the process 
  2. In house logistics allow EED to deliver and recover product on a timely basis utilizing the expertise of staff on hand 
  3. Consistent internal reviews keep EED improving on product, process and systems 
  4. Training programs that include environmental and safety standards that evolve each year by listening to the needs of our staff and customers 
  5. Comply with OSHA, DNR, EPA, DOT and any other State and Federal safety/environmental regulations and any other requirements which enables us to have a high level of productivity
  6. Perform Quality Control audits on re-use materials to assure product has met or exceeded original specifications in accordance with R2 standards 
  7. The effective prevention of work-related accidents and ill-health will have enormous social and economic benefits 
  8. Implementation of “Go Green” initiatives throughout the entire company 
  9. Partnering with vendors and customers who have adopted similar principles which we have committed to under ISO/EMS 14001:2015, ISO/OHS 45001:2018 and R2 requirements. 
  10. Involvement of all workers in the consultation process to achieve effectiveness of the OH&S management system and the participation in the review panel and/or safety team.
