LEGAL ENVIRONMENT

We have voluntarily bound ourselves to some of the highest ethical and environmental standards in the United States.  We have set ourselves apart from others by voluntarily seeking 3rd party certifications.  This type of certification is encouraged by the Environmental Protection Agency, which states: 

"EPA encourages all electronics recyclers to become certified by demonstrating to an accredited, independent third-party auditor that they meet specific standards to safely recycle and manage electronics."

Currently we have certification with Responsible Recycling Standards (R2) and we would encourage you to always choose R2 certified electronics recyclers (even if you don't choose us!). Responsible electronics recycling provides important benefits, such as:

• Reducing environmental and human health impacts from improper recycling.

 

• Increasing access to quality reusable and refurbished equipment to those who need them.

We are certified by Amtivo Inc. (formerly known as Orion Registrar and ASR) with R2 as well as ISO14001:2015 and ISO45001:2018.  This has enabled us to aggregate electronic scrap at a greater volume and with peace of mind to our customers.  We can also sell our re-manufactured automotive batteries with ISO endorsement, as a result of our compliance to our high internal quality standards.

We have registration with the Department of Natural Resources and the Environmental Protection Agency for tracking throughput because of the universal waste product we handle.   Our Department of Natural Resources Number is 341162030 and our Environmental Protection Agency is WIR000132274.  Along with these government regulations we have also purchased more than adequate insurance protection for our business.  Currently we have over 2 million for liabilities and a separate 2 million, 3-year irrevocable pollution insurance policy that is in place in case of any environmental irregularities.  We have no reason to presume any problems in our future but have taken aggressive steps to ensure that everything is covered.
