HOW TO PACK YOUR BATTERIES
When some battery terminals are rubbed together they can spark and cause a fire! To ensure safe transit you'll want to make sure to tape some batteries with clear tape. Most batteries do not need to be taped, but our list below will allow you to determine if your batteries need taped.

NO TAPE REQUIREDTape is not required for any of these but if you are unsure, go ahead and use CLEAR tape on the ends of the terminals.
Alkaline
"Heavy Duty" Zinc Carbon
Nickel Metal Hydride (niMH) or Nickel Cadmium (NiCd)
(less than 9 volts) Electronic Batteries (plastic casing intact, recessed terminals, no breaks)
Non Lithium Button Cell Batteries TAPE REQUIREDALL Lithium & Lithium-ion with exposed terminals
All Lead Acid Batteries
Electronic Batteries
(if casing is broken or terminals are exposed they should be taped) ALL Batteries OVER 9 Volts
Tape all the terminals of these batteries with CLEAR tape before packaging them up or putting them in one of our containers. |
